Auldstane Salukis began in 1974 when Eva Stehr sent a brown grizzle gentleman named Can Ch St Just Culana to live with my Auldstane Scottish Deerhounds. He became a most charismatic and successful show dog, a BIS, BISS Can Am Champion and he paved the way for over 30 years of my fascination with Salukis.

Never believing in large numbers and breeding relatively few litters there has, nonetheless, been much success and enjoyment in the show ring. Always owner handled, we have celebrated two WD awards ar the SCOA National, with BIS Can Am Ch Auldstane Chalcedony, 1983 and Multi BISS Can Am Ch Gazella Auldstane Affirmed (Tomas) 1999.

Tomas sired Pam Arwood's Multi BIS, BISS Am Can Ch Ruuh Min Zahir Ela Appalachia's litter in 2002. The puppies have had spectacular careers in the US, and Can. Ch Auldstane Appalacha Tomazina (all Us majors) is our joy here.

We hope for puppies in 2008.

Iroki Auldstane 'Allelujah (Gabriel) arrived from Robbie Pattison (and Ch Iroki Faridaat Fictitious) later in 2005 and is growing well. He combines coursing and show backgrounds and is a handsome reflection of his sire, Am Ch Abaquero Beretta OFC CH.

Auldstane Salukis, my house companions, made the long trip from Ontario to Saskatchewan with me in late April 2005. They travelled very well, always believing in my assurances. We finally moved into our new home in November and look forward to happy years here, on a small acreage in wonderful country and yet close to Saskatoon.
