At the turn of this century I began the search for a sighthound breed. At the 2002 Saluki Specialty I met Hope Waters and Carole Adley and the beautiful MSBIS Ch Burydown Hilerica Ulahni - the search was over. In 2003 Burydown WinterHaefen came to delight my eye and fill my heart. Subsequently, I imported two bitches, Canapus Galadriel from Holland and El Hamrah Fawara from Finland.

I am located in Victoria, British Columbia. The Salukis live with me in the house, run in the garden and enjoy walks in public areas. They are definitely part of the family.

Prior to having Salukis, I bred and exhibited Doberman Pinschers in conformation and obedience, under the Haefen prefix. In 2010 my first Saluki litter, sired by Ch Burydown WinterHaefen out of SBIS Ch Canapus Galadriel was whelped on April 17th .
